Yourself, Marriage and What Others Have To Say About It...

On the second month of 2014, three of my friends in Yogyakarta tied the knot. More are tying the knots in different island. More have tied the knots months even years ago. The latest, now have expand their family member.

Slightly less fortunate is me the still single fighter. When my friends are married, as I come to their wedding party, the attack of classic question has just started whilst the fact that it was actually never ever really ended ever since i graduated bachelor degree. At this rate, I might get the spinster nickname when I am only in my 27 years old of age while the American single fighter gets the spinster when they are 40 something or even if they are younger they announce themselves as an official spinster. But, hey... I have never announce myself as a spinster. On my early 20s, i also thought that 25 is the right number to get married! But I didn't.

In a society who treat the right age to get married just as they treat age as "the right age to enter kindergarten or elementary school"; I am glad that i realized it early that age is the last thing that contribute to your marriage success. My brother who got married at his mid twenties are now working with unstable income  of sometimes less than a million a month. He has a wife who is also working with an income of less than a million every month and two kids. They wish they could afford their own house, but they don't. Unfortunately they are now still living with and relying on my parents' support.

In a society with a common logic that as your age's digit keeps on adding, the same happens as well with the thickness of your maturity, thus serves you the right to get married. I am glad that I realized this is, often or even usually, not the case. One of my mother's aunt, which is technically my far-related grandmother got married at the age almost reaching 50. By age number, she earned the right of getting married almost 25 years ago, but she didn't. And she's not less happier than my brother. In fact, she looks way more happier than i used to see her and way more satisfied with her life than my brother. "But she doesn't have any children!" you may say, argue and scream. True, that by the age of 50, it is difficult for her to have child. But still... having child is just another parameter that sets by society of what happiness means.

What i am trying to say here is, someone is still happy whether your refuse to see why she is happy with her life, whether you keep pointing on what she doesn't have rather than what she has. She is still happy. Period.

So, marriage is not about age. No, it's not.

For me, marriage is beyond age. One's decision to get married does not necessarily rely on the fact that (s)he is old enough or mature enough. I believe, from what i've seen, one's decision to get married depends a lot on the combination of situation and condition and making choices and commitment and being responsible with it.

My dearest friend got married at the age of 25 years old. She first met her once future husband only a few months ago. Her sister's husband introduces him. By that one time meeting, she decided to consider marrying her. Trusting her in-laws and sister judgement, she agreed to marry him. The Muslim calls this Ta'aruf. Other who don't understand might call this crazy or just simply amazed to the point that someone could marry a man who looks like a totally stranger. No, please don't deny it. Because i was once on the "don't understand" stand point. But it's her choice. And I am happy that she is a lot happier than she was ever. Bottom line is no matter what kind of sentiment you have towards her story, such decision is never an easy decision to be taken no matter how old you are. Be that you are 25 or 35 or 45 or 55 or 65 or even more or younger than 25. And once again, such decision has nothing to do with age. She is just simply ready. She found the right time, the right condition and the right decision for the right commitment. And in my perspective, everything was right for her to be the kind of woman she wants to be.

My sister-from-different-life-and-parents used to tell me that she would really love to get married before she turns 25. In my eyes, she has this huge potential that could bring her life further. I had this doubt whether she really really wants to get married before she turns 25. I was wondering "Is it because she has just not yet found a different side of herself just yet? If yes, will she find it?". As I watch her, there are times I think to myself that she might not found that side of her. But to my surprise, she moves to different city and on a group chat she shared that "I am reconsidering getting married before i turns 25, i think i am not finished yet with myself". I am proud and happy. Not because she joins my party but more because for a girl who always acted more mature than her same age friends would normally do is finally acknowledging herself as the woman she ought to be.

For my sweetest partner in crime, marriage is probably obviously off the topic. Once she told me "I like a man just for crush. Nothing more". So she just like to giggle when cute boys pass by...or when some hot older man happens to be in her radar. It feels like she's still searching. Searching on what she actually wants. She said to me that she likes (much) older man. But at other time, she questions me on my tendencies of undervaluing potential younger love interest in my love radar. And she would go on with her speech saying that younger man might be out there with the level of maturity that i want. She's right though...there could be a younger man with the quality that i want and might be the one for me. But why do i feel like she doesn't want me to like older man like her too? It's not like we have the same type of man. (Right? RIGHT?). This girl is still searching on her woman's direction. Thus marriage is out of topic. But if she should have had her own little family, she would have had do great. A quality of an older sister of two younger brothers who continuously spending quality time with them every week at the playground is equal to a mother's love for their children. Yet, marriage is off of her radar at the moment.

You get married not because you are at the right age or because you are getting older. It is not as simple as the number calculation. If some people talks like it is a simple matter like solving the one plus one equals two math problem, do yourself a favor: just ignore them. Don't take it to your heart.

You get married because you meet with the right person or because the situation made you as a result of your own action (perhaps other's intervention as well) or because you decided to.

On how you see your life decides when should you get married.

On how you value yourself decides to whom you should get married.

On how you would like to be in the future decides the kind of person you want to be with in that future.

On how you would like to spend your old time decides the kind of company you'd like to have during that time.

So, no... Marriage is not about age or the thickness of maturity showed by how long have you live this life but on how you would like to spend your life with a companion.

And often, when you find this companion, the decision of getting marriage will comes directly.

Some people found it easy and shortly, some people found it through a long journey.

Regardless on what age or how, one doesn't own the right to rush-over someone's process of finding her or his long life time companion.

The privilege lies only on your own hands. For your life is your responsibility, not others.

Things That Only Happens in Dramaland...

Things that only happens in Dramaland are such as...

* hot boyfriend with afro hair who lives in a dumpster and turns out to be a billionaire because his family sells escalator (yes... i am referring to Dick in 2BrokeGirls)

* a guy who cleans up, does groceries shopping and knows how to clean up house. Bottom line: a guy who knows how to do house-chores without to much raising questions like "Is this right?" "should i put this much soap?" or stupidly mixed the different colors laundry into one same bucket. (i am referring to I Need Romance 3... DUDE THAT GUY IS ILLUSION!!! IN REAL WORLD HE'S GOT TO BE A GAY OR BISEXUAL AT LEAST...)

* a guy who lead and teach us into a mature relationship that fulls of respect, compassion and not taking each other for granted. Sadly, A guy is always a boy until he's married, have children and turns 40ish something. We'd be lucky to find a widower for that kind of relationship, otherwise we, the ladies who longing for such relationship, could always end up as the mistress. Not so much the kind of story we'd like to have in life... (i am referring to Prime Minister and I... Oh God.. Kwon Yul... CAN ALL MAN BE MORE LIKE HIM PLEASE RIGHT AWAY AFTER YOU HIT PUBERTY SO WE, THE LADIES, DON'T HAVE TO WAIT THE BOY CHANGE INTO A MAN AFTER THEY TURN 40s???)

* a LOT younger guy but act LOT wiser than the number of age he owns... need more explanation? You should just watch Can We Love...

* a guy who knows a woman's heart. He can be stupid for some other things, but when it comes to a woman's heart, he knows the best and he remains faithful to only one woman. HOW GREAT IS THAT? IF SUCH MAN DOES EXIST, THE WORLD WOULD BE IN PEACE ALREADY. (GO WATCH REPLY 1994 NOW AND YOU'LL FALL IN LOVE WITH THE CHARACTER CALLED TRASH).

Conclusion: I watched too many dramas... I used too many CAPS-LOCK... I SHOULD STOP THESE TWO RANDOM THINGS IMMEDIATELY.

Surprisingly A Coward, I Am...

I was at my favorite organic shop, had just finished my special Saturday rosemarie roasted chicken and a glass of iced cafe latter and stare heavily to the blue sky outside.
I am trying my best to finish my thesis. This thing have been going through a hate relationship with me for the past one year and i have decided to love him sincerely this month by making him my 2014 resolution: FINISHING IT AND GET MY MASTER DEGREE!

My head is pounding, my brain is simply drained. My heart is persevere that i have to finish it for the sake of my parents and my future. But the blue sky is way more tempting than the glowing shining of my laptop screen with thousands of words filling it in.

The moving clouds is way more interesting to be followed by my eyes than the line-up words waiting to be understood by my brain on that piece of paperbook leaves.

I hoped it was a situation like "Anything but this, PLEASE!!" but it's not.

It was simply a situation when I play this one game that i get addicted of until the point where it got complicated, tried many times to solve out the codes and move up to the next level but it just takes to much times that i gave up and choose to download a new game, playing it from the beginning, moving up the game level and when it gets complicated, I uninstalled it from my smartphone and seek on the new one again and plays it, it gets difficult, i can't stand it, i get bored, i uninstall it, and there goes the same cycle.

That pictures of me were projected on the sky, scene by scene and very very vivid. It shook me so hard that i realized i treat my thesis like a game and IT'S NOT EVEN A GAME!.

I also realized this side of me who always backing off myself from a potentially romantic related guy when things get complicated with him. I always ends-up withdrawing myself with all kind of reasons which I think i made it up just because i am actually freak of the idea of being involved deeply romantically with someone. Now that i think of this, maybe i should've been holding on to him a little bit longer and stronger...

BUT MY THESIS AIN'T NO MAN nor a woman if i were homosexual. It's like this thing that won't be finish if i don't try to make it. It's like a relationship that will never succeed if i don't put efforts to make it succeed.

And that freaks me off. Many times.

I am ashamed of myself now. Seriously. People are saying that i am such a brave person. But it turns out that i am just a coward.

Shit...now people who are afraid of bugs, ghosts or even cockroach seems to be a lot braver than myself. At least they have a vivid form of what they are afraid of. Me? Fear of success, fear of failure, fear of criticism, fear of judgement. Things that cannot be explained simply by one single words of why you fear it.

A: What are you afraid of from a ghost?
B: It's scary.
C: It might kill me

or

A: What are you afraid of from snake?
B: Dude, it has poison in its teeth. We might die from it!

That dialogue seems simple and easy to comprehend with.

But my fear??

A: Why do you have such fear of success?
B: I dunno... what do you think?
C: Maybe because it comes with responsibility, you know, like the spiderman's uncle said "with great power comes great responsibility"

Yeah right, with great power comes great responsibility my ass...
It was a lot easier to be said to a superhero character of a movie than an ordinary person like i am.

See, i am writing this not because i hate my thesis. No, please don't get me wrong.

It is because i am disappointed of myself that i've come this far to find out that i am actually a coward.

How can not you be mad at yourself if you were in my situation?

Oh God... caffeine and lack of sleep does deprived your sanity away. I shall rest my eyes.

When You, Randomly, Feels You Would Like To Cry...

Sometimes, there are some moments where I just want to cry but couldn't find a reason why... On that very random times, I set up myself with ballad songs... And Korean song could bring you to the best of being emotional... Lee Juck's Lie Lie Lie is one of the ballad song that could make me burst out of tears in a sudden. It's a complete package of course, with the video and the subtitle since my Korean is not so good yet... :)

Immortal Song 2, Yoon Sang Special: Just because I like Korean not to be on the mainstream side...

As the title said, I posted this video just because i like Korean cultures not to be on the mainstream side of the road.

This episode of Immortal Song is just too good to be missed away. It shows devotion and depth of the artist efforts to preserve their true Korean pop songs... :')

My best kind of performance is from Huh Gak with Yoon Sang's In Between Hidden Time and Sandeul B1A4 with Yoon Sang's You in Memory. I can't help to keep on replaying the video on the part where both singer perfoms.

Enjoy the untypical nowadays too mainstreamed Kpop performances!!

January 2014: Sunset or Sunrise? Magical or Warmness?

Saya ikut karena "out of spontaneity".

Jingga sang Matahari terbenam,,,

Sunrise is to be conquered, sunset is the reward. Sunrise is unpredictability, sunset is the assurance.

Sunrise is mystical, sunset is warmness...

After two sunrise i know that no matter how much unpredictability seems thrilling, i long for assurance even more...

And yet both will have more meaning if spend with somebody, anyone who shares the same thoughts, tiredness or simply shares an office with you... :)

- I may sing this song for you, I may not. I never know. We never know. But one thing I know for sure, my feelings were honest, genuine and true. It was there. But I don't know if it will be always there. At least for now, it is still there -
I found your hairband on my bedroom floor,
The only evidence that you'd been here before
And I don't get waves of missing you anymore,
They're more like tsunami tides in my eyes
Never getting dry, so I get high, smoke in the days then I sleep with the light on
Weeks pass in the blink of an eye,
And I'm still drunk at the end of the night
I don't drink like everybody else,
I do it to forget things about myself,
Stumble and fall with the head spin I got
My minds with you but my hearts just not

So am I close to you anymore, if it's over
And there's no chance that we'll work it out
That's why you and I ended over U N I
And I said that's fine, but you're the only one that knows I lied
You and I ended over U N I
And I said that's fine, but you're the only one that knows I lied
[ Lyrics from: http://www.lyricsty.com/ed-sheeran-uni-lyrics.html ]
Everybody said we'll be together forever but I know that,
I never wanna settle down, come around, break up the love like lego now,
Never wanna turn into another like you,
Sleep with my thoughts dance with my views,
Everythings great not everything's sure,
But you live in your halls and I live in a tour bus,
Now I'm in position to be another staker like every thing I say makes it all sound awkward,
Like our last kiss it was perfect, but we were nervous,
On the surface,
And I'm always saying everyday that it was worth it,
Pain is only relevent if it still hurts,
I forget like an elephant, or we can use a sedative and go back to the day we fell in love on first kiss

So am I close to you anymore, it's over
And there's no chance that we'll work it out
Oh you and I ended over U N I
And I said that's fine, but you're the only one that knows I lied
You and I ended over U N I
And I said that's fine, but you're the only one that knows I lied

Because, if I was gunna go somewhere, I'd be there by now,
And maybe I can let myself down, ohh
And thinking that I'm unaware, I keep my feet on the ground, keep looking around, to make sure I'm not, the only one to feel low,
Because if you want, I'll take you in my arms and keep you sheltered, from all that I've done wrong
And I know you'll say, that I'm the only one
But I know that God made another one of me to love you better than I ever will.

-Chorus-

The Life Is Simple yet Complicated Agony

Confusius once said 'Life is simple, it's us who make it complicated"
Guess what? The man is Goddamn right. For most of the time we, human, always try to create a gray area, the in between black and white area. At one time simply because we don't want to lose both the essence of black and white.
We struggle to find a middle way between black and white out of fear of losing.
We don't want to completely lose what our left hand holds nor do we want to lose what our right hand holds.
Thus making us thinking very hard, complicating things,in justification of looking for the best solution but still doesn't want to lose anything.
Controlled by the fear and desire, we forget that we are losing something more important in life. Time and momentum. Two things that none of in this world can make them both comeback again because God forbid, if time traveler machine does exist, world is definitely at its end.
So why does we tend to make life complicated?

The answer lies inside of our self. I can just point out whatever I feel it would match for the reason, but that would be my own reflection of my own experience when I complicated life by entering the gray area.
It's when I forgot asking myself "What do you really want?"
It's when  I forgot asking myself "What makes you happy?"
It's when I forgot asking myself "How do you really feel about it?"
It's when I forgot asking myself "Why is your fear controlling you?"
Most of the time it's because I am to afraid of letting myself talk to myself and ask myself the one million dollar question "Which hands will make you happy, which hands will make you sad, which hands will make other happy and which hands will make other sad"
And when I am not ready to deal with the real answer because I am not ready to let myself be happy, or let myself be sad or let other be happy or let other be sad, then I will try so hard struggling to find a way, not choosing the black or white, the right or left hand, so that I can be happy, others can be happy.
After that, I am good...for awhile until the vicious cycle comes back to me again. And so I have lost the time and momentum of choosing from the beginning whether it's black or white.

Wait a moment....

Did you just realize that I have just complicated what supposed to be a simple writing?

Now you see my point?

Repost from Thought Catalog: Instead of Loving Someone You "Don't" Want To Be With

Below is a re-post from Thought Catalog  (http://thoughtcatalog.com/2012/what-you-can-do-instead-of-loving-someone-you-cant-be-with/) but instead of using the original title on my blog page, I change it into the title that I love.

Why did I change it? Wait... let me think....

Ah... maybe because for me when it comes about love, it's not a matter of whether you can't be with your loved one but it's the matter of not wanting to try hard enough to be with your loved one.

It's not a matter of not having the capabilities of being with your loved one, but it's the matter of actually, if you dare to admitted, you don't really love your loved one that strong enough.

At the end of the day, it doesn't matter what your excuses are for the "can't be with you" love story. It's just that you love your loved one, but you have stopped wanting to be with your loved one, yourself.

So, when you eventually decide that you can't (read: don't want to) be with your loved one, always remember it was started by yourself, ended by yourself and shall be started again by yourself...

Now, enjoy the re-post...

Love

What You Can Do Instead Of Loving Someone You Can’t Be With

Jul. 10, 2012
Instead of loving someone you can’t be with, fictionalize them. Reimagine your encounters as dreams: the kind you wake up from, shake off, disregard; not the kind you journal, analyze, relay relentlessly to bored friends. Treat them like the subject of a poem that tickles you in the chest cavity but only very slightly, a poem you copy paste publish on the internet and forget about soon as you read something else worthwhile, something that moves you to repeat the process like you’ve never read poetry before. Think of them the way you remember characters from books you haven’t read in a while; fondly but vaguely and all smudged ’round the edges.

You can fill your days with hobbies, god knows unrequited love swallows free time like it’s air. Why not begin running, learn to get away, and fast. Or you could read a few novels, is there a more efficient way to stack your life with characters who will eventually leave? Because that seems to be the type that attracts you, the ones you know will end before they begin. You can knit, keep your fingers busy and away from the phone and away from that soft patch of skin you like to hold when you’re alone, to remember. You can finally learn to swim, because it’s summertime and there’s nothing else to do and you’re so good at holding your breath, anyway.

Remind yourself that you are other things besides in love and hopeless and sort of sad in the saddest way possible like, you are also a friend or a son daughter or an employee student and also a thinker, a doer, a person who lives and has lived before this sad, sad mess came to pass. Think about when you were a five-year-old on a beach somewhere collecting shells and digging moats and chasing strangers through the sand because you were about the same height and had the same castle-building interests and wore almost-matching swimsuits. Remember when you were a 10-year-old who wore smiling faces on t-shirts and backpacks and scrunchies and when you were a 13-year-old who was ashamed for having done so. Remember when you were 17 and began to form a soft casing around your stomach that spoke to your affinity for beer, remember when you turned 21 and spent the night spinning and drinking and kissing the best friends you’ll ever have. Remember whatever age you were the first time you had your heart broken and how the pain felt endless until it ended and then it was like you’d imagined it all, a fever dream of a romance. Uncountable things to define who you are, and the only one you toil over is the one you’re not permitted to have you silly, silly…

Go be silly with someone else and maybe you won’t love them, but maybe you will. Maybe you’ll see-saw between having everything and nothing to say to one another until you’re wearing each other’s weight and finding yourselves somewhere in the middle. Maybe in a rush of words they’ll say something arbitrary that for some reason makes your stomach smile, you know, tickles you in ways that a copy paste publish poem can’t. Maybe you’re unsure because you’ve already invested your thoughts and feelings elsewhere without yielding any profit or interest; maybe you feel safer holding on to what’s already failed because that failure is familiar and comfortable and you wear it so well. But maybe — and this is just another suggestion — maybe you can try again, instead of loving someone you can’t be with. TC mark

Kamu Mencari Apa Sebenarnya?

Ambiguity

The reason why I keep you just in my heart is because I am not sure if I am ready to take responsible of you.
The reason why I keep you to myself is because you are so delicate that I am afraid I will hurt you...
The reason why I keep you distance is because I am afraid that if you are too close, I am afraid that there will come the time when you want to stay away from me but I just can not let you go.
The reason why I keep an invisible wall between us is because I am afraid that when things get really hard with me, I will just drag you into misery.
The reason why I keep you standing there alone is because you seems okay on your own.

But, my selfish me has put you in the unfair place. I said it but I never or maybe haven't make it clear on what I want from you.
And you were just there standing not knowing what to do. In my eyes...you are confuse because you too, are trying to find yourself...

I need to trust you, don't I? No.... I guess I need to trust myself first. That I am strong. That despite whatever lies in the future I can be strong.

5 PM: After office hour

A Woman Is A Woman When ...

A woman is a woman when she realize how beautiful she is and she just smile at it.
A woman is a woman when she pleasurely happy if a man opens a door for her and she feels nothing weak about it.
A woman is a woman when she is confident on every decision she made and ready for a pack of risk come together within it.
A woman is a woman when she knows what she wants and with no doubt she stand up, walk or even run to get it instead of sit and wait for it to come.
A woman is a woman when she knows she can be as much as weak and strong as a man can be.
A woman is a woman when she knows she is a woman.

12.00am 17 April 2012

2011 AFTERGLOW -- A SERIES OF BLESS FROM GOD

Yogyakarta, December 30 2011...the second last day of 2011.

5.30 in the morning and i was awaken by the cold...maybe it's because last night it rain so hard that it seems to cool down the hotness of Yogyakarta today...

I tried to sneak in myself into my blanket and close my eyes again, but i just lost my appetite to go back to sleep  after trying to rest my eyes again for 30 minutes.

Somehow, i just realize that in less than 50 hours, this will not be 2011 anymore. In less than 50 hours, it will be 2012. I was amazed at how time flies so quickly...

2011 is rather a special year for me. Though each year of my life is a precious one (in its own way) but 2011 is a different one. I found my maturity in 2011. I finally found myself and see myself as a grown up. As a woman, a human being, a soul that stays in a body given by GOD. I'm suddenly not a little girl anymore, nor the youngest child in my family. I'm just me.

I actually planned on continuing my study at UGM on early 2011. It was part of resolution that i want to get my master  degree title before i'm turning 25. All was ready but people may plan, GOD is still the one who decide your destiny. Things happened in early 2011. Bad ones...  It's like a rendezvous of what happened almost 12 years ago to my family when i was still a teenager. But me in 2011 is not me in the 90s. It's a different me.

Looking at my parents, i chose to postpone my plan of moving to Yogyakarta. I said to myself, "It's not the end, didi...you're just delaying what you can have now and for that GOD will double what you should have now". I tried to stay strong because i have to and i don't have the option to be weak for the sake of my parents..

It's funny though, because as i try to be strong, i've come to realize that how fragile my parents truly are. All my life, i was entitled with the thought that "They are parents so they ought to be strong. For their kids, for what they have decided to built together". But on 2011, i realize how misleading this thought can be.

Things were psychologically and physically hard for my parents. But my family made through of it pretty well. After all, we went through something worse once. For me, it's a phase of learning to see my parents not from a perspective as their children.

By mid of 2011, i have decided that i can no longer postpone my plan of moving to Yogyakarta. I wasn't accepted yet by UGM nor do i have attend the entrance test. However, i have the faith that UGM will accepted me and i have no worries for that. So, i tried to wrap things up from March. I said to the NGO where i work for the past 3 years, that the 2011 badge will be the last badge i teach and I said to my other boss that I'm quitting on May. Everyone was shocked and sad. They don't want me to leave but they understand that this is an important decision for me.

My boss, David and Brenda, who then happen to be my second parents said that they don't want to let me go but they know and realize how hard i tried to make the decision of moving to Yogyakarta. They know what i've been going through lately, so they know that it's important for me to take this step in order to find myself. And for that I thank them with all my heart.

The NGO also sad that i'm leaving, but they know a soul cannot be attached. A soul are meant to be free with no attachment. So one of the founder, Brother Wayan, said to me "Go, and our doors are always open whenever you want to come back."

I don't know if there is any word that can describe my gratitude to their unconditional love to me. I was amazed at how they accept me for who i am while i'm still struggling to find who i am. I was amazed at how they trust me while i'm still having difficulties of trusting my self. On top of everything, i was overwhelmed at how they believe that i'm strong while i'm still having hard time believing that i am strong.

So, i started my journey to Yogyakarta with that humble contented feeling. I know that no matter what the result is, whether i'm accepted or not by UGM, it doesn't matter because I know, those people will accept me for whoever I am.

June and July 2011 are the most relaxing month for me. Since i'm jobless, i spent my time doing part time job, catching up with my besties, playing around with my nephew and niece, spending some quality time with my mother, having a daughter father conversation with my dad and learning to actually live for "now" without worrying what will happened in the next five or ten or fifteen minutes or next few hours or next few days or next few months.

I went back and forth to Yogyakarta several time on my own until i finally accepted by UGM. Yes, i passed the entrance exam. And yes, now i am a post graduate student of international relations at UGM. But then that's it. There's nothing special about it. What special is how i got here, how i got there, to that point of accepted by UGM.

August was even a busier month. I was trying to pull everything together for my movement to Yogyakarta. I did all by myself. My mother still nagged me a bit. She used to think that i'm lack of the ability to live by myself or to take care of myself. But I think she had a take one big step of letting me to grow up as a woman this time.

My father is always a liberal person in my eyes. Then i know that he's actually a conservative one. Well... a father is always a father especially when he is faced with the fact that his only daughter are moving to Yogyakarta. On my side, i know he feels like he owes me a lot. I know that he feels like he has this debt that he needs to pay me. I know that he's trying to pay back all the lost time he misses when i was still a teenager. I told him "It's okay dad...everything will just be fine. If it's not you'll be the first one to know"

So, i move to Yogyakarta on end of August and start my adventure here. Almost 6 months, I enjoy every seconds, minutes, hours, weeks, months of it. I have shared on my other writings of how amazing the people i met in Yogyakarta. I think by now, i am running out of words to describe how amazing they are.

I always believe in destiny and the reason lies behind it. I believe that there is a reason why i meet each of these new people in my life here in Yogyakarta. I believe that each person will give their own color to my life and i thank them for that. :)

I believe that what ever GOD brings to my life, bad or good, are all a bless from Him. I believe it is GOD's way to lead me to find myself in Him and for that I thank him :)

I still do not know if i want to make list of resolutions for 2012. I may not make one. Simply because i want to feel how's life without target or burden. I'll just let myself decide on that very moment what to achieve and what to accomplish. Beside, ain't it the fun art of life? You never can predict what lies in your future or what future offers you...so let's just enjoy your time with that hot boiling youthful blood.

With Love

CLASS TRIP PART I - DEPOK BEACH!!!! Slide B - The Picturial

'Built To Last' by Melee.

When i see this picture...there is a song come across my mind: "The Boys" by SNSD --> yuck!! xD

CLASS TRIP PART I - DEPOK BEACH!!!! Slide A

December 6, 2011 --> our very first class trip to Depok beach. Thank's to the transportation provided by Patria and Hangga, half of the class member were able to have a comfortable trip to Depok in a very cozy air conditioned cars, except for Tanti and Mas Jamal... :D

I can't remember what time we arrived at Depok beach... i think it's around 3 or 4pm... almost 4pm i guess, because the first thing we did when we got there was looking for a mosque so the muslims can do their afternoon pray.

There were only 12 of us (half of the class), 3 are non muslims (Me, Bintang and Chris)

The one who wears the sunglass is Bintang. The one with that afro hair, sitting on the ground is Chris.

Special thanks to Mas Jamal for the subsidy he gave to buy some seafood and also luckily Hangga brought a surprise. He and I got extra money after dedicating ourselves for a one heck seminar. We choose to use that extra money to add on the subsidy from Mas Jamal. It's actually more like we don't feel good about enjoying "that" money who came from Mr. You Know Who... (Remember that moment we spent with "Him" twice a week every Tuesday and Thursday?????)

So, off we go to the fish market and grab our seafoods!!!  Slyly... the guys just ran and left the buying stuff to the girls. Patria only said "I want some squid" and then he's like vanished...

So, Winda chose to buy 2 kilograms of clam which everyone thought as crazy but at the end of the day it was the most favorite dishes everyone chose... typical...haha... I chose to buy 1 kilo of fish, 1 kilo of squid, and then 1/2 kilo of small prawns, simply because it's the most expensive seafood. Total cost for the seafood was 100.000... not bad for that much seafoods,,,

Patria picked the restaurant that's right facing the beach. After deciding how do we want the seafood to be cooked, we started our little adventure at the beach. Yihaaaaa it's having fun time!!! xD

This is our one only Thailand friend : Abdulloh. Hangga called him the Edward Kulonprogo... (so much for Bella)... He's cute in this photo, but please pay attention to the guy standing behind him and what is his hand doing... (FYI, it's Patria wkwkwkwk)

Now, this is what i call with CONFIDENT. Bintang is showing off his sexy black long leg which i did not realize back then until i pay attention to each photos we took that day. :D way to go bro!!! black is masculine!! haha

One of the most memorable moment started here. It's the Story of Patria, Handphone and the Flip-flop...So, down there in the picture is the starting point of the story. Patria was busy with his handphone while walking along the beach....

Suddenly, a big heavy wave came and hit him,,, hardly,,,who was still busy with his handphone (blackberry,,,yes,,,it is...). The wave took his flip flop away...and he ran towards the wave, trying to catch the flip flop, almost fell into the water, half wet, yet lost another flip flop after catching the first lost one and ended up getting both easily after the wave came back towards him again...

Too bad i was too astonished and overwhelmed by how it happened. It's just super hilarious. PERIOD. xD so i didn't catch the moment in a photo... haha
Now this one is the second funniest moment caught in a photo... Rio and Bintang were trying to get a nice and cool photo of themselves. I was just goofying around and found this dead crab. I pick it up, threw it to Rio and it landed right on his head... LOL!!!

Arif started the game of catching the petite crab and putting the catch into this plastic glass. That's like the first time i saw Arif being playful... :)

Need more explanation? here we go...bunch of boys found a new toy and they were eager to try it. That big motor (which i do not know what to call was rented by Chris). Pretty cool, right?

Nemo?Baloon fish? You name it...

People say... a photograph worth thousand  unexplainable words... this is the perfect example of it... the ambiance, the sky, the boat, the beach, and THE HUGGING... so sweet... :)
May what Depok Beach has brought to your relationship will last forever, Patria and Hangga...
LOL!!!

Now, let's talk more about Depok Beach... It's not the best beach, indeed. The surrounding was rather dirty that day. It's no different with Lebih Beach in Bali so i don't know which one i like better.
However, one thing for sure that day is special thanks to the people i spent the day with. These people in the picture below (including Winda who stayed at the restaurant looking after our bags) are the reason why that day become so special and meaningful. And it's not just me. God seems to have the same thought with me that day. The sky was extremely beautiful... and I can't thank God enough for that very happy moment.

These beautiful soul were born to grow to be a free soul as free as the air we breath, to be beautiful as beautiful as the sky that very afternoon.

I thank to each of you...to the 12 people who share that beautiful afternoon with me and to the other classmates who didn't have the chance to join us that day... Thank you... =D
